Red and Gold Chip and Dip

Sometimes the kiln is kind.

Chip and dip sets with the dip bowl inset into the chip dish are a form I feel drawn to create. I don’t know why, other than perhaps I like chips and dip: but I never use a chip and dip set to enjoy that treat—straight out of the bag and the plastic dip container is my preference!

Fortunately the rest of the world is more refined, because it seems y’all love these as well.

The clay used in this piece is Trinity White Stoneware . The glazing is Amaco Deep Firebrick with Amaco Albany Slip Brown zigged and zagged around in bands.
