In Person Lessons

What is it like to take an in-person lesson with me?

It’s fun!

You or your student certainly deserve to be successful, but I believe that happens best when you are enjoying your lessons here at my little apartment.

A typical lesson goes like this: You start by choosing what to show me from your piano progress the past week: something from your assignments, or maybe you created your very own music and you’re excited about sharing it with me.

You’ll receive feedback and coaching where needed to help you create the most successful performance. This is a great time to ask questions you’ve been wondering about all week (but you don’t have to wait until lesson day: just text me!)

We’ll play fun games to help reduce any stress or frustration you might be experiencing, and I will give you hints and tips that truly help you master the music.

Once we’ve completed one piece, we’ll move to another assignment—perhaps in another book if we’re using the Faber Piano Adventures curriculum.

Rinse and Repeat until our time is up!

When you leave, you’ll know what to work on as you party on your piano during the week. Other teachers call it practice, but you and I know it’s actually a piano party, and you get to have one every day!
