Can you feel the dampness of the dew from the lavender moistening your clothes as you brush against it and can you smell the heavenly scent beginning to rise from it as it warms in the sun?
I have all these awesome hats and teacups and teapots… They go together so well!
almost as soon as I began to enjoy painting I wanted to try to render these lovelies with pastel on paper.

I felt a little of that drama as I started taking pieces down; after all, these are my babies
we, too, can decide to rework everything, not just in our art but in our life… And the process can be exhilarating.
When this happens, it’s almost always significant and changes the way I think about life.
In order to make sure the pastels are secure and won’t shatter or tumble as the easel is moved or carried, they must be protected and padded.

I don’t discount skill and careful work, but we put too much emphasis on how others will see our art.
